Leadership and Team Management In my current role, I lead a globally distributed IAM Engineering & Support team of approximately 30 colleagues across APAC, UK, and the US. Together, we design, develop, and support IAM toolsets, processes, controls, and change projects across the Barclays Group. My team is also responsible for the technical and operational governance of Logical Access Management (LAM) controls, ensuring the highest standards of security and efficiency. Innovations and Achievements Over the past three years, I have led a major transformation at Barclays, implementing a modular framework based on microservices architecture. This platform is the first enterprise-scale implementation of microservices at Barclays, enabling an 'IAM as a Service' offering across the bank. Fully cloud-enabled, this groundbreaking framework exemplifies my visionary approach to technology and security. Core Responsibilities Strategy: Defining and evolving the IAM services and product roadmap to maintain Barclays' robust control environment in a dynamic security landscape. Architecture: Designing and enhancing IAM technology architecture using resilient, scalable, and modern technologies. Product Development: Building a comprehensive IAM product suite with complex integrations and a multi-terabyte data layer optimized for security operations. Core Functions: Overseeing five core sub-functions: Design & Architecture, Core Engineering, Data Feeds & Operations, User Interface (UI/UX), and L2 & L3 Support.
