I was one of the first kids on my block to get the internet but didn't know about product management till several years into my career. I studied Biology and Philosophy in college but didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up. Was a general business hire at a startup, then a nontechnical founder, then a content marketer, and eventually broke into product at Etsy. Went back to being a founder and CEO and eventually had my startup acquired by Facebook where I built B2B and consumer products at scale.
As a first generation immigrant where my parents really weren't able to provide any professional guidance or support, I relied on peers and mentors to help me navigate challenges. Asian Americans are often hired into tech organizations but rarely promoted or make it into the senior ranks. That's something I hope we can change. BIPOC candidates often struggle to make it in the door and face ongoing skepticism around their capabilities and we need your voice and vision if we are to build a better future.

Jason is exceptional in many ways. He fearlessly points out things that require attention and motivates me to step out of my comfort zone. He also gives me his full personal attention. I appreciate this mentorship and look forward to continuing this relationship.

I had a great session with Jason! I learned a lot more about his experience with startups and how I could take his learnings and use them on my own side projects. His stuff on resilience is very interesting as well and inspired me to start my own blog - you should ask him about it!
Jason provided great insights and answered all of my questions in depth. His wealth of knowledge and willingness to share what he knows was immensely helpful to me.
